From soap to baking powder to gum

The official gum of Gum Guy comes from Wrigley, and here’s the story of how William Wrigley, Jr. (that’s him above), came to Chicago in 1891 with $32 in his pocket and great talent as a salesman for Wrigley’s soap, which then led to free baking powder with the soap and then free gum with the baking powder.
